On May 5, 2025, ICAMB under Bioinformatics Program hosted a public lecture titled “Life with More Than One Genome”, delivered by our visiting professor, Prof. Yves Van de Peer from Ghent University, Belgium,a top 1% highly cited researcher globally. The lecture, open to academicians and researchers, explored the complexities and evolutionary importance oforganisms with multiple genomes. Additionally, there also an academic session titled “Gene and Genome Duplication: A Bioinformatics Approach” was organized for students, focusing on methods to study gene and genome duplication. Both events aimed to deepen understanding of genomics and promote collaboration in future.
